VIVO Music Festival is an annual Columbus-based classical music festival dedicated to building community through world-class chamber music performances. From masterworks of traditional classical music to boundary-breaking contemporary sound worlds, each season of VIVO is a journey through the possibilities of music. Founded in 2015 by Columbus-natives John Stulz and Siwoo Kim, VIVO’s goal is to democratize classical music, sharing it with new audiences, challenging veteran fans to listen differently, and using it as a tool to bring communities together throughout central Ohio
VIVO’s mission is to build community through world-class chamber music performances.
Our vision is to serve as a catalyst for local artistic engagement by bringing innovative, community-oriented music performances directly to central Ohio’s diverse neighborhoods.
Each fall, VIVO brings together a group of nationally recognized young professional musicians to present energetic, accessible, and interactive concerts, educational performances, and outreach events in collaboration with local community groups, businesses, and arts organizations. VIVO is a 501c3 non-profit organization and has presented 32 performances in partnership with over 60 Columbus institutions.
At the core of VIVO’s work is a belief in democratizing the arts. We work with community partners to present musical initiatives that transcend cultural, economic, and physical barriers.
There is no one-size-fits-all format to a VIVO event, and our diverse formats reflect our diverse audiences. Join us in continuing this work, and making world-class music available to all.
